I never get tired of looking at the cameras and electronics on urbanoutfitters.com. There's always some cute camera or headphones to love.

This bright pink fisheye camera is now on sale at USD 38 and I absolutely covet it. Not just because it's pink but because it's so thoroughly pink.




Of course, the Fisheye 2 is a much better camera. It also looks cute, because it comes with an accessory viewfinder that allows you to preview the effect of the fisheye lens on what you're framing. And you can do multiple exposures, long exposures, and add another flash with the hotshoe to do funny things with it in combination with the in-built flash.

But this is so brilliantly pink!

Lawyer and I were drooling over The Chromiacs. I’m not sure, but I think subscribing to the Lomo newsletter might have been a suicidal move. They just keep sending out chirpy emailers about pretty new things and goading people to buy, buy, buy!

Lawyer was besotted with the Fisheye 2 while I was smitten by the Diana F+ for quite a bit. Old school cam decked out in chrome? I mean, it looks so wrong it’s right. In the end, Lawyer’s gonna get the FE2 while I’m just not sure enough about loving a chrome Diana for better or for worse.

And in case you’re interested, I noticed that 8storeytree has stocked the Chromiacs Supersampler and Colorsplash so it might be cheaper than shipping from Lomo if you’re in this part of the world.

An Open Letter to Santa

Dear Santa

I've been told that you really exist and will be coming to tropical Singapore to ride in a trishaw around one industrial park for some gimmicky event.

I think you're going to feel really shitty having to be squashed in a trishaw so you might want to leave your sack at the hotel. You might want to drop the usual outfit too, cos this is the tropics and given the freaky weather we've been having, chances are that it will rain and humidity will be something like 99.9%. Nothing you can do about the beard and the brows, but do swap the red fur-trimmed stuff for, say, a Hawaiian shirt? A Mandarin collar shirt? Or maybe a button-down in our SQ kebaya print? You're going to be in a trishaw after all, so it'll blend in with the theme.

Oh, and one more thing. Our trishaws like to play loud techno music. You want to QC your grand entrance OST beforehand.

But I digress. This is the first time in my 26 years of existence that I've written a letter to you. Given that I've never asked you for anything, and that I've just given you a bunch of constructive advice, I'd be really excited if you could drop this limited edition Paul Smith Fisheye 2 camera into my room.
