Dreaming of satchels today

My favourite of the lot, because I'm currently liking bags that are all black - including hardware. I can't mix metals, so this doesn't pose wardrobe problems for me. Proenza Schouler PS1. But why are their bags so expensive?

i own this bag in blue (pounced on it in chatuchak market, bangkok) but the zip is spoilt and i haven't gotten around to sending it in for repair. it's a lovely bag.

Why is my bag so heavy

Sometimes I think I shouldn't carry big bags because I fill it up and my shoulder and back start to hurt. But then if I don't, I will have to carry paper bags and plastic bags and all sorts of random items and then my hands and arms and fingers will hurt as well. I'm the kind who likes to lug everything in one enormously heavy burden so my hands are kept free.



The other day I came back so tired from carrying my bag I decided to take pictorial evidence of the reason why. So that when I'm old with a bad back I can see I only have myself to blame.

There is this bag at On Pedder. The picture doesn't really do it justice because of the way the bag has been strapped in and constrained. Beautiful shade of red and very soft. But so slouchy, shapeless and casual that even at $700 (50% off), it's still way too much. Nonetheless, it's rather beautiful.
