Martin Margiela: Fashion's invisible superstar

Forget Banksy – for 20 years, designer Martin Margiela has fiercely guarded his identity. He has never given an interview, and has never once been photographed. And yet he is the single most influential figure in fashion, rated by his peers as the very best.

An interesting read about Martin Margiela that has not a peep from him and instead, is all about what other fashion insiders think about him. From The Independent here.

There is this bag at On Pedder. The picture doesn't really do it justice because of the way the bag has been strapped in and constrained. Beautiful shade of red and very soft. But so slouchy, shapeless and casual that even at $700 (50% off), it's still way too much. Nonetheless, it's rather beautiful.
