Love Shuffle no more!

Ten weeks of joy have come to an end.

Let's take a moment to look back at my favourite sets on the show.

The foyer as their living room and all the random things they do there.





As well as the cafe/bar where they hang out.








Actually one of the things from the show that surprised me was the use of Eternal Flame as a recurring soundtrack. You get to hear it in every episode, I think.

Eternal Flame by The Bangles was released in 1989. By the time I heard and liked the song, it was long enough after that I thought of it as older than its actual age.

I'm not sure what it is that surprises me. Perhaps it's the vague notion that it has been used in other Japanese dramas before. Perhaps it's the fact that when I first heard it it was under 10 years old but now it's practically an adult.

I think I found the camera I said I love. I was reading Monocle magazine (issue 20, Feb 09) when it leapt off the page at me.

It should be the Sigma DP1, a compact camera that functions like a DSLR. A casual read of reviews makes it sound rather problematic, not to mention it's hugely expensive. Still, he totally makes it look like a damn good-looking and highly covetable toy.

I like the watering hole the Love Shuffle characters hang out in sometimes.

This show has the most beautiful sets and lighting.

Started watching a new Jap drama - Love Shuffle. It's fast-paced, interesting and filled with quirky and endearing characters the way only Japanese dramas can be.

The story revolves around four individuals living on the same penthouse level of a building. Together with their four "partners", they embark on the wacky idea of love shuffling by changing companions weekly.

What I like most about the show is how the four of them ends up using the lobby area outside their apartments as a living area where they gather for breakfasts, dinners, drinking sessions and pyjamas parties.

Also, I am very much in love with his camera.
