The polka dots takes some of the edge off the ridiculously high platforms.
I want to find brogues that are black and sturdy, like these. But I would like them to not cost so much.

Yeah I like those Church's too! I think what makes brogues appealing is the whole idea that they're of high quality and handmade. Unfortunately that also means they're damn expensive :(
I recall Topshop currently has relatively cheap oxfords, so might be worth checking out (haven't seem them in real life tho, reckon they're not very sturdy)
yah i've seen a few topshop styles but they tend to look a bit flimsy or the leather is not of gd quality and creases easily, etc. so hard to find affordable but good ones!
