Drinking really fast

I'm not very good with cradling a coffee for ages. I don't like hot beverages that have turned cold, so I drink pretty quickly. My aim is to drink it all at the point where it is no longer scalding hot but before it even hits the point when it's starting to turn lukewarm.

I drink iced drinks very quickly too, because I don't like anything diluted by melted ice.

Same with slushy ice blendeds, and ice-creams. I don't like them melted.

At restaurants, I drink water rather quickly too, and a lot of it. It's free, it's good for you and it gives your hands something to do. Naturally, I dislike places that expect me to pay for drinking water.

And then there are times, usually at home, when I refuse to lift my hand to pick up the giant cup of water that rests right beside me. Sometimes I feel the thirst so acutely I start to relish the sensation, so I decide to keep it that way for a while to see just how parched I can get.
