playground
we had damn a lot of fun at the plastic and spongey floor playground the other day. but now i want to find an old school playground.
i miss the playgrounds from our day. dirty, smelly sand surrounding the monstrous slides that were cool to the touch. stone? some kind of concrete? i don't know but they were thick slabs and not the flimsy plastic of today. creaky merry-go-rounds stamped with plus signs rusting away. wooden see-saws that were free of springs - you could cause someone's ass to smash to the ground just by jumping away suddenly. rubber tyre swings held by cold iron chain links. delirious laughter.
i want to find that playground again.
